Responsibilities
- Assist with the inspection, disassembly, and reassembly of ladles, ensuring all components meet safety and quality standards
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to perform repairs and modifications on ladle shells, refractory linings, and related components
- Support heavy lifting operations using appropriate rigging and lifting equipment to handle large ladle parts safely
- Read schematics and technical manuals to identify repair procedures and troubleshoot issues effectively
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks on ladles, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to prevent downtime
- Collaborate with service technicians to diagnose mechanical or electrical faults in ladle systems, including diesel engines or generator components
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and inspection outcomes for safety compliance and operational tracking

Experience
- Prior experience working in a foundry
- Prior experience working in Ladle repair, Melt department, Furnace department
- Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, diesel engine repair, welding, soldering, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
- Familiarity with tools such as hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting gear
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors during repairs
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing in a manufacturing setting
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 48.0 – 60.0 per week
