Position Overview
As a Remote Patient Access and Benefits Specialist, you will verify insurance coverage, investigate benefits, and assist patients by ensuring accurate eligibility and reimbursement information is obtained from insurance carriers.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shift assigned between:
- 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM EST
- Must be flexible to work any assigned shift within operating hours
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
- Conduct eligibility and benefit investigations
- Communicate with commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and specialty insurance plans
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients, providers, pharmacies, and insurance carriers
- Document account activity accurately within company systems
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality standards
- Meet quality, productivity, and accuracy goals
✅ Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent Insurance Verification and Benefits Eligibility experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience verifying coverage directly with insurance carriers
- Knowledge of:
- Insurance Verification
- Benefits Investigations
- HIPAA Regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience navigating multiple systems simultaneously
- Dedicated home workspace free from distractions
- Reliable high-speed internet with hardwired connection
- Hotspots are not permitted
