Position: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Mechanical
Location: Middleville, Michigan – In office
Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 DOE

Primary Function
The Senior Design Engineer is responsible for the development of new products and product platforms. This role provides end-to-end design support, guiding projects from concept development through testing, validation, and production launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design and development of new and improved products
- Coordinate and oversee development, validation, and verification testing activities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support smooth and successful product launches
- Drive technical excellence through sound engineering principles and best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Five or more years of experience in an applicable mechanical design or product development role
- Proven experience developing FMEAs, test plans, DFM strategies, and tolerance stack-ups
- Strong understanding of heat transfer, fluid flow, and thermodynamics
- Hands-on experience with combustion systems, heat exchanger design, and multi-pass heat exchangers
- Background in appliance design, HVAC design, pressure vessel design, and material selection
- Working knowledge of sheet metal, injection molding, machining, and cast part design
- Experience designing for manufacturability in high-volume, cost-sensitive environments

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated self-starter who thrives both independently and in team settings
