My client, a privately held commercial real estate company is looking for a skilled Project Manager to join their growing team.
The Project Manager provides overall leadership and administration to the construction project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning, scheduling and coordinating the project strategy, design and timelines, reporting progress and budget matters to the ownership
- Preparing and negotiating timetables, cost estimates, budgets and contracts
- Managing the construction process, supervising all activity on-site, responding to delays
- Hiring and collaborating with specialists such as architects, subcontractors, engineers and local government officials for permits and licenses, contractors and clients
- Acting as the central point of contact for tenants & ownership, reporting on progress, and managing client expectations.
- Maintains close client interface
- Ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with contract and design
- Manages budget and financial reporting throughout the project
- Performs all functions and responsibilities in partnership with the company’s culture, corporate vision, ethics, and code of conduct
- Acts as company representative to develop new business opportunities and relationship with new and existing clients
- Provides leadership to the project team
- Continuous subcontractor coordination
- Oversight of self-performed operations
What We’re Looking For
- Four-year engineering or construction degree preferred
- Deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems
- 3 plus years of field experience
- Design Build experience a plus
- Advanced management or technical training preferred. Extensive experience in similar facility construction estimating and related functions
- Thorough knowledge of estimating, project management and construction management
- Excellent organizational, supervision and decision making/problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required. HH2, Plangrid, Procore and Timberline/Sage knowledge a plus
