What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant – Inventory & Systems position at RemX | The Workforce Experts?
We’re partnering with a well‑established, privately held industrial services and manufacturing company that is a recognized leader in its niche market. The business is growing rapidly, investing in new systems, and scaling financial operations to support the next phase of expansion.
This is a high‑impact accounting role for someone who wants to do more than close the books -someone who wants to understand how the business really works, influence decisions, and grow into a senior finance leadership role over time.
You’ll be joining a collaborative environment where finance plays a visible, trusted role across the organization, not a back‑office afterthought.
Why This Role Is Different
- Broad exposure across accounting, inventory, systems, and operations
- Direct visibility to senior leadership
- Hands‑on involvement with a NetSuite ERP environment
- A clear path to increased responsibility and long‑term growth (Controller track)
- Less bureaucracy, fewer silos, and real ownership of your work
If you’ve felt boxed in by narrow responsibilities at larger companies, this role offers a chance to build, improve, and shape processes, not just maintain them.
What You’ll Own
- Inventory accounting, costing, and related controls
- Supporting and enhancing ERP usage (NetSuite experience a strong plus)
- Ensuring accuracy and integrity of inventory valuation and financial reporting
- Partnering with operations to translate business activity into clear financial insight
- Supporting month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Helping strengthen financial controls as the business scales
- Acting as a key finance contact for cross‑functional questions and initiatives
Over time, this role is expected to expand into broader controllership responsibilities for someone ready to grow.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years of accounting experience (manufacturing, industrial, or inventory‑heavy environment preferred)
- Strong foundation in inventory accounting and cost concepts
- ERP experience - NetSuite strongly preferred, but not required
- Systems‑oriented and curious: you like understanding why numbers move
- Hands‑on, builder mindset - comfortable improving processes that aren’t perfect yet
- Ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non‑finance partners
Backgrounds that tend to do well here include:
- Cost Accounting
- Inventory or Operational Accounting
- Audit transition into industry
- Assistant Controller or Senior Accountant in a growing environment
What’s In It for You
- Competitive base salary with flexibility for the right candidate
- PTO flexibility
- Real growth trajectory, not a “maybe someday” promise
- Exposure to senior decision‑makers and strategic initiatives
- The chance to be a trusted finance voice, not just a number‑cruncher
Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
