About the Role
A growing manufacturing company in the medical device sector is seeking an FP&A Analyst who can support financial planning, cost analysis, and inventory accuracy while also helping manage import/export compliance, duty drawback processes, and post-entry activities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys cross-functional work and wants a role that influences both profitability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Cost Accounting
- Develop and maintain standard costing for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Prepare cost reports and analyze variances between standard and actual costs.
- Monitor and value inventory, reconcile physical counts, and maintain accurate records.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting on costs, margins, and profitability.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain to resolve cost issues and identify savings opportunities.
- Support modeling and forecasting activities, including scenario planning.
- Track product margins, material cost trends, and inventory variances.
Trade Compliance & Duty Drawback
- Prepare and submit import/export filings and post-entry adjustments (Reconciliation, PSCs, Protests).
- Support duty drawback programs and coordinate data gathering with external partners.
- Ensure timely filing of reconciliation entries and accurate responses to customs inquiries.
- Maintain documentation related to customs compliance and assist with related audits.
- Pull monthly data for duty drawback modeling and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, cost accounting, or trade compliance.
- Strong Excel proficiency (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, modeling).
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
