About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee all aspects of the company’s financial operations. This is a highly confidential search for a growing manufacturing and distribution business in Greer, SC. The Controller will play a critical role in managing accounting processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and providing strategic financial guidance to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing insights to support business decisions.
• Monitor and manage inventory accounting and cost controls for manufacturing and distribution operations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Lead, mentor, and manage finance and accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team environment.
• Collaborate with leadership to analyze financial performance and recommend strategies for growth and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
• Proven leadership experience managing a finance or accounting team.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software systems; proficiency in Excel is required.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
