RemX Staffing is seeking a Cost Accounting Systems Analyst in Sacramento, CA.
This is a fully onsite contract position.
Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accounting Systems Analyst to support financial systems, accounting operations, and the successful implementation of a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and seamless integration across accounting, finance, and operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical expertise, deep knowledge of accounting principles, and experience supporting ERP transformations within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support the implementation and integration of a new ERP system, ensuring transactions flow accurately across multiple platforms and are properly recorded in the general ledger.
- Lead and support accounting and financial reporting activities related to the ERP project, including requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and go-live support.
- Assist in developing, documenting, and implementing new processes and internal controls aligned with the new system.
- Coordinate with auditors by providing required documentation in a timely manner.
- Identify and resolve data issues by analyzing complex data structures, investigating root causes, and communicating solutions to accounting and IT teams.
- Support accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes involving the new ERP.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain reporting tools needed for accounting, operational management, and reconciliation activities.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to help accounting and finance teams operate effectively within the new system.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to drive process improvements and support operational efficiency.
- Travel to manufacturing facilities as needed during implementation phases.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial analysis techniques.
- Prior experience working with ERP systems; manufacturing system experience preferred.
- Experience with JDE E1 is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and data-investigation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Salary : $52 - $58
