Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, service, maintenance, and operation of mission-critical mechanical equipment in a data center environment.
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on a wide range of HVAC systems, including air and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, natural gas boilers, unit heaters, electric duct heaters, cooling towers, and various water pumps.
- Work with pneumatic, DDC, and variable frequency drive controls, as well as HVAC air distribution systems such as AHUs, FCUs, and fans.
- Maintain, upgrade, and back up Building Automation Software as required.
- Monitor compliance with contractual commitments and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
- Provide guidance, leadership, and training to less experienced technicians to support their professional development.
- Respond to after-hours and on-call assignments as needed to ensure continuous system operation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a basic air conditioning theory class.
- Minimum of 7 years of large commercial HVAC service experience required; 8 years preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments.
- Experience with DDC, pneumatic, and variable frequency drive controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.
- Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Certification required.
- Current and active Journeyman HVAC license required.
- OSHA Certification required.
- Valid drivers license required.
- Ability to satisfactorily complete any required client background checks or training.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance preferred.
Offered compensation: $30/yr - $42/yr
