Responsibilities- Assist with the installation, startup, and certification of UPS systems and battery systems.
- Support preventative and scheduled maintenance activities for UPS and related power systems.
- Help diagnose and repair routine and emergency issues with minimal disruption to customers.
- Work under supervision on equipment including UPS systems, battery systems, PDUs, ATS, and AC/DC rectifiers.
- Follow operational, maintenance, and emergency procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
- Interpret and work from schematic diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers, both verbally and in writing.
- Promote a positive team environment and uphold safety standards on job sites and in the operations center.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to situations where productivity or safety may be at risk.
- Balance multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Services Management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to UPS and DC systems.
- Familiarity with major OEMs such as Eaton, Mitsubishi, Schneider, APC, GE, and Emerson is a plus.
- Understanding of basic AC/DC theory, electronic components, and circuitry, or willingness to learn.
- Ability to connect series, parallel, and series-parallel battery strings.
- Knowledge of torque values, torque-mark application, and visual inspection of battery cabinet installations.
- Experience or training in the use of digital multimeters, amp clamps, flexible CTs, and battery testing tools such as the Alber Cellcorder is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and exercise good judgment in the field.
- US Citizenship required.
