Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support both plant-level execution and corporate sourcing alignment within a fast-paced Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment. This role will support direct material purchasing activities while partnering closely with plant operations, program teams, and corporate procurement leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Issue blanket purchase orders (POs) for direct materials supporting plant operations

• Collaborate with commodity managers to align sourcing strategies prior to PO issuance

• Verify supplier invoices for pricing, quantities, and terms accuracy

• Maintain and update pricing within ERP systems

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactional purchasing activities

• Serve as liaison between plant operations, finance, program teams, and corporate procurement

• Support shutdown response activities

• Manage engineering changes (ECNs) and supplier changes

• Attend sales kickoff and program management meetings

• Manage internal RFx processes and program timing alignment

• Maintain program data accuracy, reporting, and traceability

• Communicate purchasing risks and opportunities to commodity managers

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-volume environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required

• 5 years of progressive automotive direct materials purchasing experience

• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills

• Experience in a fast-paced Tier 1 automotive supplier environment strongly preferred

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel functions

• Familiarity with TS 16949 or IATF 16949 quality systems

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally

• Interest or experience working with global suppliers is a plus

Work Structure:

• Split time between the Caro Plant (Caro, MI) and Corporate Headquarters (Auburn Hills, MI)

• Regional travel as needed
