Local Fastener Distributor is looking for a Buyer in Burton, MI.

Requirements:
- Knowledge of Fasteners & MRO
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous customer service/sales experience preferred
- Above average computer skills
- Previous sourcing/purchasing experience
- Parts nomenclature knowledge
Responsibilities:
- Develop professional relationship with vendors to obtain and develop desired products
- Negotiate prices, discount terms and transportation arrangements for merchandise
- Use computers to organize and locate inventory and operate spreadsheet and word processing software
- Confer with sales and other purchasing personnel to obtain information about customer needs and preferences
- Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances or as assigned by supervision
- Consult with assigned Branches regarding goods to be purchased
- Examine, select, order and purchase at the most favorable price merchandise consistent with quality, quantity, specification requirements and other factors
