What You’ll Do
- Perform inspection, testing, service, and repair of fire sprinkler systems and related components
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems in compliance with NFPA 25, state, and local codes
- Test backflow prevention devices and other system components
- Document all inspections, repairs, and recommendations accurately using company software
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle in top working order
- Communicate clearly with customers about deficiencies, repairs, and recommendations
- Work safely and collaboratively as part of a professional field team
What You Bring
For Entry-Level Technicians:
- 6 months of technical experience or exposure to fire protection, plumbing, or mechanical systems
- Willingness to learn and obtain necessary certifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
For Experienced Technicians:
- 2–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler service, inspection, or installation
- Working knowledge of NFPA 25 standards
- NICET I–II certification in water-based systems (preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and mentor junior technicians
For All Candidates:
- FDNY S-12/S-13 Certificate of Fitness (preferred) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record
- Professional attitude, customer service focus, and ability to work independently
