Relate Search has partnered with a global manufacturing organization in its search for a Plant Accountant / Accounting Manager to support plant-level financial operations and reporting. This role will oversee core accounting functions including financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, and accounts payable while partnering closely with plant leadership to support operational and financial goals. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives, strengthen internal controls, and support a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, financial statements, and related reporting.
- Identify control gaps and implement procedures to strengthen accounting and operational controls.
- Oversee payroll and accounts payable functions while supporting internal and external audit activities.
- Partner with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to support financial analysis and cost accounting initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of three (3) years of plant manufacturing accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
