Rochester, NY Full Time

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Market Expansion

  • Identify, target, and secure new facility partnerships in New York.
  • Develop a structured pipeline of leads (facility ownership groups, individual SNFs, regional operators).
  • Regularly report growth metrics to executive leadership.

Relationship Development

  • Serve as a trusted representative of Rehabilitation Associates, able to vouch for the quality and integrity of our clinical model.
  • Leverage existing relationships within the LTC/SNF community to open doors and facilitate introductions.
  • Act as liaison between facility leadership and our clinical/operational teams during early partnership stages.

Brand Representation & Advocacy

  • Represent our practice at state associations, industry conferences, and networking events.
  • Articulate Rehabilitation Associates’ value proposition clearly: comprehensive post-acute care that integrates physiatry, geriatrics, palliative care, and telemedicine.
  • Ensure consistent messaging that aligns with our distinctiveness and reputation for quality.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity in post-acute care.
  • Advise leadership on strategic positioning, opportunities for differentiation, and potential risks.
  • Provide insights into payer dynamics, facility ownership shifts, and growth opportunities (e.g., new SNF builds, acquisitions).

Onboarding New Partners

  • Support smooth transitions from prospect to contract, ensuring credibility and trust are maintained throughout.
  • Collaborate with credentialing, operations, and clinical leadership to remove barriers for new facility engagement.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5–10 years of leadership experience in long-term care, ideally as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) or in a senior leadership role within a post-acute facility or ownership group.
  • Demonstrated track record of driving growth, securing new contracts, or expanding services in the healthcare sector.
  • Deep, pre-existing network with nursing home owners and administrators in New York.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional relationship-building and trust-building skills.
  • Strong understanding of the operational, clinical, and financial drivers of nursing homes.
  • Ability to communicate the value of a comprehensive care model to both clinical and financial stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance short-term wins with long-term partnerships.

Education & Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (required).
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) credential strongly preferred.
  • Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or public health (desired but not required).

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A former or current LNHA who is well-respected in the New York LTC community.
  • Someone who can pick up the phone, call an owner/operator, and get a meeting because of their personal reputation.
  • A professional who understands both the clinical impact (patient outcomes, quality metrics, reducing hospital readmissions) and the financial imperatives (Medicare, Medicaid, value-based programs) of nursing homes.
  • Entrepreneurial and persuasive, yet empathetic—able to advocate for both the facility’s needs and our clinical mission.

Performance Metrics

  • Number of new facility contracts secured per quarter/year.
  • Expansion into new ownership groups or systems.
  • Measurable growth in facility census under Rehabilitation Associates’ care.
