POSITION SUMMARY
Fine Arts Teachers at Regents School of Austin inspire students to grow in their love for Christ and His created order through the study and practice of the visual and performing arts. Through a distinctly Classical, Christian approach, teachers cultivate students' ability to perceive and create beauty, develop artistic skill, and delight in truth, goodness, and beauty.
In this role, Fine Arts teachers instruct, disciple, and mentor students in alignment with the Objectives outlined in Article II, guiding them in artistic expression while fostering spiritual, intellectual, and relational growth. Fine Arts teachers also contribute to the broader school community through performances, exhibitions, and collaborative events that reflect the mission and excellence of Regents.
Teachers partner closely with parents and colleagues to prepare students for life beyond Regents-equipped to think critically, create thoughtfully, and serve faithfully.

Required Experience
SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Demonstrated skill in a Visual Arts discipline
- Experience teaching a variety of age-appropriate art media and managing young learners in a studio setting.
- Ability to cultivate both creativity and discipline in students
- Strong classroom management skills appropriate to age and setting
- Excellent communication and relational skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to organize materials, projects, and/or performances effectively
- Capacity to inspire students toward excellence and appreciation of the arts
- Understanding of how the arts contribute to a student's intellectual and spiritual formation
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Education, or related field required
- Three to five years of teaching or relevant experience preferred
- Demonstrated spiritual maturity and a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ
- Understanding and appreciation of Classical, Christian pedagogy
- Commitment to fulfilling the educational and theological objectives defined in Article II
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout classrooms, studios, rehearsal spaces, and performance areas for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move art supplies and student projects (up to 25 lbs).
- Capacity to assist students at tables or floor-level workstations, including bending, crouching, or standing for extended periods.
- Ability to actively supervise and engage students in both classroom and performance settings
- Ability to set up and take down equipment, materials, and displays for classes, rehearsals, and events
- Ability to work in a variety of environments, including classrooms, studios, stages, and outdoor spaces as needed
- Ability to participate in extended rehearsals, performances, or events that may occur outside of regular school hours
