We’re seeking to connect a Project Engineer with a leading company in the aerospace and defense industry on a full-time basis. The role is onsite and located in Santa Barbara, California.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
As a Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to join a highly collaborative engineering team and leverage your expertise in complex electro-mechanical systems development and integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering programs from design and development through production transition.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across systems, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines.
- Oversee system integration, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and validation efforts.
- Maintain configuration control, engineering documentation, and bill of materials accuracy.
- Develop test plans, assembly instructions, tooling requirements, and acceptance procedures.
- Support field testing, supply chain activities, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with complex engineering systems.
- Experience with configuration management of electro-mechanical products.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, specifications, and system architectures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
Salary : $120,000 - $165,000
