Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Tech to join our team in Henderson, KY. The Activity Tech will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and conducting daily activity programs tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Engage residents in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Provide support and encouragement to residents during activities, ensuring safety and participation.
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.
- Collaborate with nursing and therapy staff to coordinate activities that meet individual care plans.
- Prepare and organize materials and equipment needed for activities.
- Assist with transportation of residents to and from activity areas as needed.
- Promote a positive and inclusive environment for all residents.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in recreational therapy, activities coordination, or related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with elderly or disabled populations.
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist residents as needed throughout the day.
Work Environment
This position is based in a healthcare or assisted living facility in Henderson, KY. The Activity Tech will work closely with residents and staff in a supportive and team-oriented environment.
