What are the responsibilities and job description for the Level 1 Incident Manager position at Red Sun Technology?
We are looking for a Level 1 Incident Manager to support the client’s enterprise operations environment onsite for a minimum 6-month engagement. This role is responsible for quickly creating, escalating, triaging, and tracking critical IT incidents and events across multiple technologies. The consultant will monitor infrastructure, connectivity, assets, and services through graphical monitoring platforms, support incident communications with IT teams, customers, and vendors, and monitor IBM mainframe control consoles for operational status and performance. This role also may assist with review and validation of mainframe job control language, perform assigned deliveries, and support a shift-based operation that can include holidays, day shifts, afternoon shifts, and midnight coverage. The ideal candidate has strong operations-center discipline, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience in Microsoft Teams, What’s Up Gold, Pingdom, PRTG, and IBM mainframe environments.

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of IT operations, incident management, NOC, or command center experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams
- Experience creating, escalating, triaging, and tracking critical incidents
- Experience using monitoring and alerting tools such as What’s Up Gold, Pingdom, and PRTG
- Experience monitoring infrastructure availability, connectivity, and service health
- Experience working with IBM Mainframe environments and mainframe control consoles
- Ability to assist with mainframe job control language review and validation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with IT staff, customers, and vendors
- Ability to work fully onsite with no work-from-home option
- Ability to work holidays and rotating shifts including days, afternoons, and midnight coverage
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform operational deliveries as assigned
