What are the responsibilities and job description for the Desktop Support Technician position at Red Sun Technology?
We are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to support the client’s end-user computing environment by installing and configuring PC hardware, peripherals, and core software packages; setting up network connectivity; performing workstation-to-workstation user profile, data, and application migrations; and troubleshooting desktop, OS, and software issues. The ideal candidate will be strong in Microsoft desktop support, Microsoft 365 services, SCCM, Active Directory, endpoint security, and printer support, and will be comfortable handling both hands-on break/fix work and day-to-day user support in a structured enterprise environment.
Strict Requirement: US Citizen or Greencard holder requirement per the client and W2 only
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of desktop support, PC support, or end-user support experience
- Minimum 6-month availability for contract engagement
- Strong hands-on experience installing and supporting desktops, laptops, monitors, keyboards, printers, scanners, and other peripherals
- Experience loading, configuring, and validating Microsoft desktop operating systems and standard productivity software
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365 services in an enterprise environment
- Experience with SCCM for software deployment, imaging, or endpoint support
- Experience with Active Directory for user accounts, permissions, and workstation support
- Experience performing workstation setup, network connectivity setup, and profile/data/application migration
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating system issues and perform minor repairs
- Experience supporting Trellix ENS
- Experience supporting LPR printing
- Strong customer support, documentation, and ticket resolution skills
