Admissions Coordinator - Skilled Nursing Home - NY

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large Skilled Nursing facility (180 beds) in New Rochelle, NY that is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to add to their staff.  The Coordinator is a liaison between the Nursing Home and Hospitals, Assisted Living homes, Agencies and Community Organizations (among others) to secure referrals.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, energetic, and enjoys being a facilitator to a number of internal and external entities.  Additionally, the Coordinator should have experience and a working relationship working with White Plains hospital.  The position reports to a Director of Admissions.  Salary is commensurate with experience.  A generous benefit and PTO package are included.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in the coordination of all admission activities and documentation with all respective departments
• Assists in the planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and overall operations of the admissions department
• Manager daily census and associated reports
• Follow-up on qualified leads from Physicians, Social Workers, Families and any other referral sources
• Represent the Nursing Home in marketing the facility to interested parties, gives tours and responds to requests for information.

• At least one year of experience in an Admissions department.
• Skilled Nursing Home experience a must.
• Prior experience working with Social Workers, Discharge Planners, and Case Managers at White Plains Hospital
• Ability to read PRI reports
• Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma with two years of experience in an administrative position
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, along with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated problem solver who works well both independently and as a team member
• Detailed orientated and process strong organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
