We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Group Facilitator to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will be a master’s-level clinician or licensed provider (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or CADC) with direct experience facilitating groups in a primary substance abuse treatment setting. This role plays a critical part in supporting the therapeutic process by delivering evidence-based groups, promoting client engagement, and reinforcing clinical goals across levels of care. Outpatient experience is a plus.
Full-Time and Part-Time available: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: FT - $55,000 - $65,000, PT - $50.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate clinically appropriate group therapy sessions focused on substance use disorder, relapse prevention, psychoeducation, coping skills, and recovery-oriented topics.
- Maintain group structure, therapeutic boundaries, and safety in alignment with program curriculum and policies.
- Assess group dynamics and adjust interventions to meet the needs of clients with varying levels of acuity.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure coordinated care, participate in treatment planning discussions, and communicate client progress or concerns.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation, including group notes, attendance, and client updates in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Support a trauma-informed, person-centered approach that fosters engagement and respect.
- Assist in developing new group content, materials, and program enhancements as needed.
- Uphold compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CARF, state licensing).
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Licensure preferred: LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or CADC (or equivalent state-recognized credential).
- Required: Experience facilitating groups in a primary substance abuse treatment center.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT skills, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, etc.).
- Excellent communication, group management, and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to document accurately and efficiently using EMR systems.
- Outpatient experience (PHP/IOP/OP) is preferred but not required.
