What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Facilitator position at Rebound Recruiting LLC?
Our brand-new inpatient behavioral health treatment center in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Group Facilitator to lead clinically appropriate therapeutic groups for adults in treatment for mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. The ideal candidate will have previous experience facilitating groups in a behavioral health or treatment-center setting and be able to create an engaging, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Master’s level clinicians are strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate daily therapeutic, psychoeducational, and skills-based groups consistent with program curriculum and clinical best practices.
- Foster a safe and structured environment that encourages patient participation, insight, and emotional regulation.
- Utilize evidence-based modalities when appropriate (e.g., CBT, DBT-informed skills, relapse prevention, motivational approaches).
- Tailor group content based on patient needs, treatment plans, and level of care (detox, residential).
- Collaborate closely with clinical, nursing, and case management teams to coordinate client care.
- Document group notes accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with state regulations, facility policy, and Joint Commission standards.
- Attend clinical meetings, treatment team reviews, and staff training as required.
- Support crisis de-escalation efforts as needed within the milieu.
- Model professionalism, therapeutic boundaries, and trauma-informed communication at all times.
Qualifications
- Required:
- Prior experience as a Group Facilitator in a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting.
- Strong group-management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field (e.g., MSW, MHC, MFT).
- Oklahoma behavioral health licensure or licensure-eligible (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LADC-MH, or candidate-level status).
- Familiarity with co-occurring disorders and trauma-informed care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong documentation and time-management skills.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
