Apartment Maintenance Technician
Our client is seeking a dependable, hands-on Apartment Maintenance Technician.
This position requires someone who can work independently while also collaborating effectively with property management, maintenance teams, and vendors.
What You’ll Do as the Maintenance Technician:
- Complete maintenance service requests in occupied apartment homes
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, drywall, and general maintenance issues
- Prepare vacant apartment homes (“make-readies” / turns) for new residents
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the property grounds and common areas
- Assist with painting, light carpentry, touch-ups, and unit repairs
- Partner with property staff and vendors to ensure maintenance issues are resolved efficiently
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and with excellent customer service
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies (if applicable)
What we’re looking for in a Maintenance Technician
- Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, drywall, and general maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Positive attitude with strong customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- EPA and/or HVAC certifications are a plus, but not required
