Role Description Real Estate Title Processor/Closer is a full-time, on-site role based in Millersville, MD. This role manages title and closing files from contract to post-closing, including reviewing purchase agreements, obtaining and organizing title searches, and preparing closing documents. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with lenders, real estate agents, and clients, verifying loan and title documentation for accuracy and completeness, and scheduling and facilitating closings. The role also involves preparing settlement statements, collecting and disbursing funds, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards, and providing timely, professional communication to all parties throughout the transaction. The Title Processor/Closer helps maintain detailed records, resolves issues that arise before closing, and supports a smooth, efficient settlement process.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong experience with loan-related documentation, including Loan Documents and Loan Processing.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Mortgage Lending processes and terminology.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients, lenders, and agents.
- Previous experience in title processing, closing, or escrow within real estate or mortgage environments is highly beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency with title and closing software, general office applications, and basic math for settlement calculations.
- Understanding of real estate contracts, title insurance, and settlement statements (e.g., CD, HUD-1) is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in real estate, title, or mortgage fields is a plus.
