Role Description The Senior Title Processor is a full-time, on-site role based in Owings Mills, MD. This role is responsible for managing title files from opening through closing, including ordering and reviewing title searches, clearing title issues, preparing closing packages, and coordinating with lenders, real estate agents, and clients. The Senior Title Processor will handle escrow-related documentation, verify payoff statements, prepare settlement statements, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks include communicating with stakeholders, responding to client inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and supporting attorneys and colleagues to ensure timely and error-free closings.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal interaction with clients, lenders, agents, and internal team members.
- Experience with Notary services, including the ability to notarize closing documents in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Escrow procedures, including managing escrow accounts, handling deposits and disbursements, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on professionalism, responsiveness, and a positive client experience throughout the transaction.
- Basic to intermediate Accounting skills to review settlement statements, reconcile funds, and verify financial details accurately.
- Prior experience as a Title Processor or in a similar role within a title, escrow, or real estate law environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with title and closing software systems and general knowledge of real estate closing practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in real estate, title, or paralegal studies is a plus.
