- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or related field preferred and will be given first consideration
- Currently hold a Colorado teaching license or have licensure application in process with Physical Education endorsement (Additional coursework required for eligibility toward a Colorado Teacher License is required or must be completed within an agreed-upon timeframe)
- Currently hold a Colorado Substitute Teaching License if Teacher License is not completed
- Knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards for Physical Education
- Strong classroom management and activity management skills
- Experience teaching high school physical education
- Coaching experience or willingness to coach preferred
- Knowledge of fitness assessment and wellness programming
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Knowledge of physical education curriculum and fitness principles
- Ability to instruct a variety of physical activities and sports
