Job Tasks Descriptions
1.The Teacher Assistant works closely and assists the classroom teacher with academic and/or behavioral implementation and support, which may include teaching a small reading, math or other groups daily.2. The Teacher Assistant receives the same extensive training and coaching that the classroom teachers do.
3. Assist faculty members in the classroom setting and outside the classroom setting to implement the curriculum
4. Assist the Special Education Teacher in implementing student plans (IEPs, 504s, intervention)
5. Assist faculty in implementing academic and behavior plans
6. Receive training in RE-1 Valley District pedagogy and curriculum, and assessment in order to be maximally effective with students.
7. Fulfill regular monitoring duties (e.g., before- and after-school care, playground monitoring, etc.)
8. Any other duties as assigned
