What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rental Assistance Data Assistant position at RCAP Solutions, Inc.?
Position Summary: Under the guidance and direction of the Director of
Rental Assistance, the Rental Assistance Data Systems Assistant will be
responsible for assisting with the departmental data management systems
and software related to the administration of the Rental Assistance
programs. These functions will include but are not limited to: assisting
in maintaining owner and tenant databases, extracting and analyzing data
from system reports, and supporting the Rental Assistance Data Systems
Manager with monthly payment processing functions. Th Rental Assistance
Data Systems Assistant will assist and support staff with any
software-related issues, including training new staff or as directed,
along with ensuring compliance with funders\' expectations on software
related issues. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: \~ Assist and
support the Rental Assistance Data Systems Manager and overall Rental
Assistance staff with changes to software for all rental assistance
programs and prescribed by funding source and RCAP Solutions\' internal
systems. \~ Assist with the maintenance of tenant and landlord databases
to ensure data integrity. \~ Produce monthly reports on program
activities and distribute them to appropriate parties, as needed. \~
Assist the Rental Assistance Data Systems Manager in the preparations of
monthly leasing and program expenditures reports, along with payment
processing functions. \~ Communicate with owners by phone or email on
payment inquiries and/or correct payment deficiencies and make necessary
corrections, as necessary. \~ Support staff with any software-related
issues, for current and future software development. \~ Attend all
required training and meetings related to new and existing software, as
requested by funding source and/or the organization. \~ Assist with the
submission of PIC (Personal Information Controller) data, as required.
Support with data clean up, and integration, as necessary and directed
by the Rental Assistance Director. \~ Support the Rental Assistance team
with production of program reports and development of new reports as
needed. \~ Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rental
Assistance. Education and Experience Requirements: \~ Associate\'s
degree or equivalent education, with a minimum of two years of
experience working with a variety of software databases. \~ Knowledge
and experience working with a variety of different software, with the
ability to be able to create and analyze data and reports. \~ Must be
proficient with Word, Excel, OneDrive, database systems, and online
search engines. \~ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
required. \~ Bi-lingual communication skills preferred, but not
required. \~ Ability to train and present materials that are
understandable for internal and external staff and stakeholders. \~
Ability to work independently and in a team setting. \~ Valid driver\'s
license. Working Conditions: \~ Typical office setting at RCAP
Solutions\' corporate office, with the ability to spend extended periods
of time sitting and using office equipment. \~ Move regularly from
sitting to standing position, along with frequently bending to file and
maintain files. \~ Ability to work on repetitive tasks and use fine
motor skills to handle and control objects. \~ Ability to use earpieces
