Job Title: Radiation Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Radiation Therapist to join our team. The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients with cancer and other diseases. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation therapy techniques and equipment, as well as excellent communication skills to work effectively with patients and colleagues.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed doses and treatment plans
- Monitor and assess patient reactions to treatment and adjust as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of treatment sessions and patient progress
- Educate patients about treatment procedures and possible side effects
- Collaborate with oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
- Ensure the safe and effective operation of radiation therapy equipment
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
- State licensure as a Radiation Therapist
- Strong understanding of radiation therapy techniques and equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
