About the Role
We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support the maintenance, repair, and inspection of construction equipment and fleet vehicles. This role involves working hands-on with a wide range of machinery and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in construction equipment, semi-trucks, trailers, and small tools
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake work, engine diagnostics, and system checks
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems
- Conduct inspections to identify equipment issues and recommend solutions
- Repair or fabricate parts as needed, including welding and component modifications
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards
- Support shop operations and assist with additional maintenance tasks as needed
Key Qualifications
- 2 years of experience working on heavy construction equipment or diesel mechanics
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems
- Experience with heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, skid steers, and trucks
- Ability to diagnose and repair both minor and major mechanical issues
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, shop-based environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
- CDL is a plus but not required
