Field Service Technician Job Responsibilities- Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot, service, and repair refrigeration systems and ice machines.
Complete all service documentation clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
Work with the Parts Department to ensure correct identification and ordering of required components.
Install replacement parts promptly while maintaining a high level of professionalism and craftsmanship.
Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and ensure proper inventory of tools and parts.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with manufacturers, sales representatives, dealers, and customers.
Assess service issues, gather necessary information, and develop effective repair solutions.
Consult with equipment manufacturers when additional diagnostic support is needed.
Deliver exceptional customer service and clearly explain service needs and solutions.
Promote and recommend additional applicable services to customers when appropriate.
Physical aspects of the role include frequent walking, standing, driving, sitting, kneeling, squatting, and overhead reaching throughout most of an 8-hour workday. The position also involves regular travel between customer locations ( windshield time ).
