About the Opportunity
A growing and well-established insurance organization is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its team in Eastern North Carolina. The Account Manager will serve as a trusted resource for clients by managing policies, addressing coverage needs, and ensuring a smooth overall client experience.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering responsive and professional service
- Act as the primary point of contact for policy-related questions, updates, and service requests
- Assist clients with claims support and provide guidance throughout the claims process
- Conduct regular coverage reviews to identify potential gaps and recommend appropriate solutions
Policy Administration
- Process policy changes, renewals, cancellations, endorsements, and documentation
- Prepare and review insurance quotes based on client needs
- Bind new coverage and coordinate policy issuance with insurance carriers
- Review audits and policy documents for accuracy and resolve discrepancies when necessary
Coverage & Risk Support
- Analyze client insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage options
- Research products and carrier offerings to provide competitive solutions
- Assist in remarketing policies when appropriate to ensure the best coverage and pricing
- Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional coverage options
Problem Resolution & Team Collaboration
- Resolve client concerns promptly while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Maintain accurate records within the agency management system
- Collaborate with internal teams and carriers to ensure timely service delivery
- Support team members by sharing knowledge and assisting with training when needed
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina Property & Casualty License or Life & Health License required
- Minimum of 2 years of insurance account management or comparable education and experience
- Commercial Account Manager experience.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, coverages, underwriting practices, and policy servicing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to problem-solve independently and work efficiently under pressure
- Proficient with agency management systems, carrier portals, and rating tools
- Strong organizational skills and follow-through
