Interim Controller

Tatum by Randstad is seeking a highly meticulous and hands-on Interim Controller to stabilize and manage the financial operations. This position requires a professional who enjoys getting into the details of data entry, financial statement production, and complex loan accounting.

The ideal candidate will be an individual contributor who thrives in a unique, personal-growth-oriented culture and possesses the technical discipline to manage regulated financial reporting without error.

• Financial Statement Production: Own the full-cycle month-end close process, producing accurate P&Ls and Balance Sheets for both the regulated lending arm and the loan brokering arm.
• Loan Accounting: Manage specialized accounting requirements, including the spreading of origination fees over contract lives and managing bank participations.
• Hands-on Data Entry: Perform all daily accounting functions within QuickBooks; ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
• Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure all filings for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions (TDFI) are prepared accurately, focusing on usury laws, consumer loan compliance, and adherence to internal loan policies.
• Audit Support: Act as the primary point of contact for year-end audits, providing clean workpapers and resolving inquiries.
• Cash Flow Management: Produce weekly cash flow reports for executive leadership.

• Experience: 10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within financial services, lending, or banking.
• Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with TDFI or similar state-regulated financial reporting is a significant plus.
• Detail Orientation: A "zero-error" mindset is required, specifically regarding financial reconciliations and data integrity.
