Senior Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Specialist to join our client's finance and HR team in the Washington, D.C. area. This crucial role is responsible for overseeing complex, multi-state payroll operations and ensuring compliance across the organization.

Mandatory Requirement: Direct, hands-on expertise with the Ceridian Dayforce platform is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Overall, day-to-day monitoring of Payroll and Dayforce email accounts.
• Processes payroll bi-weekly for the organization, with the ability to solve problems, perform calculations, and provide direction, training, and support to payroll and other essential personnel
• Serves as the timekeeping administrator of the Dayforce HCM Workforce Management (WFM) timekeeping module, ensuring accurate setup, access, and data maintenance. This includes reconciling time data within the module for each payroll processing.
• Review work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies and report such trends to the Payroll Director or other designee.
• Issues and record adjustments to pay due to timekeeping omissions or retro adjustments.
• Manages the garnishment process, ensuring timely response to all received documents.
• Prepares various payroll documents and records, including data input; comprehends and interprets procedural and other information relating to payroll operations.
