Position: Chemist
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Location: Clark NJ 07066
Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.79/ Hr on W2

Description:
Looking for a candidate with experience in a related industry (e.g., personal care, paint, food, or similar), as it would help make the workload easier.
Experience in stability studies, batching, or a related field.

Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, or a certification/diploma in Quality Control, Physical Measurements, Physical Sciences, or related technical research experience in a laboratory setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Clear communication skills
- Methodical and organized
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking in conducting analyses and reporting results
- Cooperative spirit and ability to work in a team environment
- Feedback mindset to improve processes
- Must be organized and have worked in a laboratory environment
- Ability to work autonomously with a strong background in math/science
- Experience with pH, Microscopy, Viscometer/Rheometer, and Foam Analyzer is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with batching equipment is a plus but not required
Responsibilities:
- Ensure physicochemical characterization and performance evaluation of products while following defined protocols and quality criteria (microscopy, rheology, and other internal methods, etc.)
- Assist with Design of Experiments to analyze stability, appearance, viscosity, and in-vitro experiments
- Explore new methods of formula characterization
- Ensure complete traceability of characterizations, from sample recovery to data reporting
- Contribute to establishing an operational flow for sample transfer logistics, from the formulation laboratory to the characterization laboratory
- Maintain stability records.
