Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Custom Cabinet Builder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing high-quality, custom cabinetry tailored to client specifications. Duties
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately build custom cabinets.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish cabinet components using hand tools and power tools for woodworking.
- Operate woodworking machines safely to fabricate cabinet parts with precision.
- Install finished cabinets on-site, including door hanging, fixture installation, and alignment.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met and quality standards are maintained.
- Perform finishing tasks such as caulking, sanding, staining, or painting to achieve a polished look.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to power tool safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinetry construction or related woodworking fields such as carpentry or remodeling.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, construction plans, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., chisels, screwdrivers) and power tools for woodworking (e.g., saws, drills).
- Experience operating woodworking machines and understanding of wood construction materials with 5 years or more.
- Familiarity with residential carpentry, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and drywall installation is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and site safety standards including power tool safety.
- Additional skills such as plumbing, electrical experience, tile laying or flooring installation are advantageous but not mandatory.
