Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute painting tasks according to project specifications
• Apply paint using various methods including brush painting, roller painting, conventional spraying, airless paint spraying, and construction spray painting techniques
• Conduct surface preparation for construction painting including surface repairs and protection of surrounding areas during application
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for surface preparation and finishing tasks
• Perform coating applications on structural elements such as stucco, masonry, drywall, wood trim, fixtures, and other surfaces requiring renovation or restoration work
• Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing respiratory protection and adhering to safety protocols on construction sites

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques
• Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and accurate visual color comparison skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans accurately
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding or ladders for elevated work
• Experience with residential painting as well as commercial or industrial projects is preferred
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction sites including proper use of respiratory protection and fall protection equipment
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating coverage and material quantities
• Additional skills such as carpentry (trim carpentry), plastering, caulking, masonry (stucco), fixture installation, remodeling, welding (for industrial projects), concrete finishing or handyman experience are advantageous
• Construction site experience with the ability to read blueprints or schematics is essential
• Need reliable transportation and driver license
• 5 years or more experience in painting

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
