Your Role
You’ll be at the heart of the hotel’s growth strategy, responsible for elevating its presence in the market. Your mission is to grow revenue by proactively reaching out to current and prospective clients, understanding their needs, and aligning them with the hotel’s unique offerings. Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Travel to support hotels across the Quorum portfolio, with assignments varying in location and duration.
- Step in to fill temporary leadership roles and provide seamless coverage for Director-level or other vacancies.
- Lead or support sales efforts for full service and select service hotels, across a range of brands and ownership groups.
- Prospect and secure new business across all key segments, including corporate, group, and SMERF.
- Assess business performance and execute action plans to drive occupancy and ADR growth.
- Collaborate with the revenue management team to create and implement sales strategies that optimize hotel yield.
- Manage Corporate Negotiated Rates and Local Negotiated Rates as needed.
- Lead and participate in daily and weekly sales meetings to ensure alignment and success across all initiatives.
- Guide and mentor on-property teams, train new sales leaders, and help establish systems and processes that drive success.
- Represent the hotels through site visits, sales calls, networking events, and trade shows.
- Assist with special projects as needed, such as sales audits, brand conversions, training initiatives, or new hotel openings.
- Collaborate with hotel and corporate teams to ensure a consistent and strategic approach to sales and marketing.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 10 years of progressive hotel sales experience, with 3 years as a Director of Sales.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college degree is a plus.
- Proven success in sales across both full service and select service hotels.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to jump into a variety of property types and team structures.
- Multi-brand experience is required: Hilton and Marriott are a must; Hyatt, IHG, and independent/boutique hotels are a plus.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly assess and respond to changing market conditions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- High proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and brand-standard sales systems.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Must be able to travel 100% of the time and be available for assignments of varying lengths.
