Injection Manager
Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Injection Molding Department Manager to lead our injection molding operations. This role combines production management and process engineering responsibilities to ensure that all molded products are manufactured efficiently, on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards. The successful candidate will manage daily operations, oversee process optimization, lead a production team, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Essential Duties
- Plan and manage daily production schedules based on demand, inventory, and customer needs
- Ensure optimal utilization of machines, materials, and manpower to meet production goals
- Monitor performance metrics such as output, cycle times, scrap rates, and downtime
- Lead and develop a team of engineers, operators, and technicians
- Assign tasks, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations
- Foster a collaborative and safety-conscious team environment
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
- Lead mold changeovers, material trials, and automation projects
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure proper machine operation and preventative maintenance
- Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, procurement, sales)
- Ensure adherence to OSHA and company safety policies
- Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in injection molding production or process engineering, including leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of injection molding machines, tooling, thermoplastics, and related equipment
- Experience in production planning, quality assurance, and lean manufacturing
- Strong leadership and cross-functional communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SPC, OEE, and root cause analysis
- Technical degree in Engineering or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
