The Registered Nurse (RN) in Utilization Management (UM) specializing in appeals and denials ensures that healthcare services are correctly billed and reimbursed by examining medical records, assessing medical necessity, and writing appeals for rejected insurance claims.
13 Week Contract with the option to extend
Hours - Part Time - Day 3x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30) = 24 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
- Manage and process insurance appeals and denials
- Perform utilization management to support appropriate patient care
- Write clear and effective appeal letters
- Collaborate with healthcare team and adhere to established policies
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in Appeals and Denials Management
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in appeal writing
