About the Assignment
We’re seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for a 13‐week contract at a critical access facility in Phillip, South Dakota. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast‐paced environments and are confident managing high‐acuity patients with limited onsite resources.
Position Details
- Contract length — 13 weeks
- Shift schedule — 12‐hour night shifts
- Hours — 36 hours per week
- Start date — ASAP
- Compensation — $2,500 weekly (blended)
- Setting — Emergency Department, rural critical access hospital
Responsibilities
- Provide high‐quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Triage, assess, and stabilize patients in urgent and emergent conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Respond to trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other critical situations
Requirements
- Active RN license (SD or compact)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (TNCC preferred)
- Strong critical‐thinking and independent‐practice skills
- Ability to work in a rural, resource‐limited environment
