✅ POSITION SUMMARY

Quest International is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Field Service Technician to support medical, laboratory, and industrial equipment across the Chicago metropolitan area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting, hardware repair, and diagnostic tool usage, and is comfortable working independently in field environments.

This is a full-time, field-based position requiring regular travel to customer sites.

🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electro-mechanical and electronic systems

• Replace FRU-level components, including motors, sensors, wiring harnesses, power supplies, and PCBs

• Use diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters and manufacturer testing procedures

• Install, configure, calibrate, and test equipment at customer locations

• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure equipment meets operational standards

• Complete detailed service documentation, including parts usage and work performed

• Communicate professionally with hospital staff, biomedical teams, engineering departments, and industrial personnel

• Travel throughout the Chicago region and occasionally to nearby states (company-paid travel)

🎯 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1–3 years of experience in electro-mechanical repair, field service, biomedical equipment support, industrial maintenance, or electronic hardware troubleshooting

• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, including digital multimeters

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

• Demonstrated experience repairing mechanical and electrical components

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied physical environments (bending, crawling, climbing, tight spaces)

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) experience

• Industrial Maintenance Technician (IMT/MMT) background

• Mechatronics, robotics, or automation troubleshooting

• A/V hardware repair or low-voltage installation experience

• Experience servicing medical devices or laboratory equipment

• Military electro-mechanical training

• Electronics coursework, A , Networking , or OEM certifications
