✅ POSITION SUMMARY
Quest International is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Field Service Technician to support medical, laboratory, and industrial equipment across the Chicago metropolitan area. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in electro-mechanical troubleshooting, hardware repair, and diagnostic tool usage, and is comfortable working independently in field environments.
This is a full-time, field-based position requiring regular travel to customer sites.
🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electro-mechanical and electronic systems
Replace FRU-level components, including motors, sensors, wiring harnesses, power supplies, and PCBs
Use diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters and manufacturer testing procedures
Install, configure, calibrate, and test equipment at customer locations
Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure equipment meets operational standards
Complete detailed service documentation, including parts usage and work performed
Communicate professionally with hospital staff, biomedical teams, engineering departments, and industrial personnel
Travel throughout the Chicago region and occasionally to nearby states (company-paid travel)
🎯 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1–3 years of experience in electro-mechanical repair, field service, biomedical equipment support, industrial maintenance, or electronic hardware troubleshooting
Proficiency with diagnostic tools, including digital multimeters
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Demonstrated experience repairing mechanical and electrical components
Strong communication and customer service skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied physical environments (bending, crawling, climbing, tight spaces)
⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) experience
Industrial Maintenance Technician (IMT/MMT) background
Mechatronics, robotics, or automation troubleshooting
A/V hardware repair or low-voltage installation experience
Experience servicing medical devices or laboratory equipment
Military electro-mechanical training
Electronics coursework, A , Networking , or OEM certifications
