About the Role

Quest International is seeking experienced Biomedical, Electro-Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance Technicians to service and repair medical, laboratory, imaging, and industrial equipment across the Chicago region.

Successful candidates will have hands-on experience performing:

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

• Diagnostic testing

• FRU-level and component-level repairs

• Field service in hospitals, labs, manufacturing plants, or industrial facilities

This is a field-based repair role, not IT support, installation-only work, or general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical, biomedical, or industrial equipment

• Perform FRU-level and component-level diagnostics

• Test circuits, wiring, sensors, motors, actuators, pumps, and assemblies

• Use diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, test meters, and OEM procedures

• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals

• Install, configure, and calibrate equipment at customer sites

• Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment reliability checks

• Document all service activity accurately

• Communicate professionally with hospital, lab, and industrial personnel

• Travel throughout the Chicagoland region; occasional regional travel required

Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

Candidates must have ALL of the following:

• 1 year hands-on repair experience in biomedical, industrial maintenance, electro-mechanical, or field service

• Proven ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and electrical systems

• Experience using a digital multimeter for diagnostics

• Ability to replace FRU-level or component-level parts

• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in various physical environments

Preferred Experience

(Not required, but highly valuable)

• Biomedical equipment repair (BMET)

• Industrial automation or robotics troubleshooting

• PLC familiarity

• Imaging or lab equipment service

• Pneumatic or electromechanical system repair

• Low-voltage electronics repair

• CompTIA A , OEM certs, or electronics coursework

• Military electro-mechanical training
