Process Engineer (Surge & Hydraulic Study)

What You Will Do:

1. Review and verification of inputs as per the project requirement
2. Prepare and review process flow diagram for process based on project requirement
3. Prepare, update and review P&IDs based on Process flow or project requirement
4. Performs specialized engineering duties related to pipeline system surge analysis, operating pressures and overpressure protection calculations
5. Conduct surge analysis modeling for projects
6. Perform and review Hydraulic study, Hydraulic calculations for Line sizing, Pump head etc.
7. Review and evaluate data related to overpressure protection setpoints, sizing and installation requirements
8. Assist in design and specification of new/modified overpressure protection mitigations
9. Prepare, update and review Process Datasheets for Process equipment like Pumps, Storage tanks, Reactors, Vessels, Columns, Separator, Heat Exchangers and other process equipment such as filtration equipment, and drying equipment
10. Prepare, update and review Process Datasheets for Instrumentation.
11. Perform and review Control valve sizing calculations
12. Perform and review Relief valve sizing calculations using appropriate codes
13. Prepare, update and review line list, equipment list etc.,
14. Prepare, update and review Cause and Effect and Control Narratives based on the project requirements
15. Preparation of Design documents
16. Co-ordination with Field / site engineers / External vendors for scope / input and clarifications & smooth execution

What You Will Bring:

1. Degree in Chemical Engineering or other relevant engineering
2. Good knowledge of industrial Projects in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry.
3. Experience in Surge and Hydraulic system studies
4. Good Technical reasoning, analytical skills
5. Exposure to Industry design standards and codes

Key Skills:

1. Proficient in Aspen HYSYS
2. Working knowledge of Synergi Pipeline Simulator, AFT Impulse or similar software
3. Operating knowledge of AutoCAD & Navis works software
4. Transmission/gathering pipeline operations
5. Gas measurement and regulation activities
6. Processing and/or storage operations
7. Organization / Federal operation and safety procedures
8. Pipeline stress/strain analysis
9. Industry best practices and design philosophy
