Overview
A global financial institution is seeking a Middle Office Analyst to join its Capital Markets Operations division. This team is responsible for supporting market activities across the full trade lifecycle, ensuring accurate booking, validation, and reconciliation of transactions between Front Office and Back Office systems.
Within this structure, the Middle Office plays a key role in controlling trade capture, monitoring risk and operational integrity, and acting as a central point of coordination between trading desks, operations teams, and IT.
Scope of the Role
The position sits within the Equity Trading Support Middle Office, covering a broad range of equity-related activities, including:

Key Responsibilities
Trade Control & Validation (Level 1 & 2 Controls)
- Review and validate trade booking performed by Front Office systems
- Ensure consistency between order book, term sheets, and trade capture
- Perform pre-issuance checks and validations
- Monitor and validate invoicing processes
Operational Monitoring & Coordination
- Act as liaison between Front Office, Operations (MO/BO), and IT teams
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks across the FO–BO chain
- Ensure accurate and timely resolution of operational issues
Data & Lifecycle Management
- Maintain and control market and reference data (equities, indices, calendars, counterparties)
- Monitor listed derivatives data (options, futures)
- Manage lifecycle events for structured products (corporate actions, coupons, maturities, early events, notional updates)
- Book and validate corporate actions in trading systems
Process Improvement & Projects
- Contribute to process optimization initiatives
- Participate in user testing, documentation, and functional specifications
- Collaborate with IT and project teams on system enhancements
Operational Coverage
- Participate in on-call rotation (pre-market / post-market support) to ensure data accuracy and system readiness
Requirements
Experience
- 3 years of experience in Middle Office / Trade Support (Equity environment)
- Strong exposure to Equity Derivatives (mandatory – both theoretical and operational understanding)
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with Front Office trading systems (experience with SOPHIS is a plus)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
- VBA knowledge is a plus
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
