Trade Support Analyst Consultant for direct client
Work Location - midtown Manhattan, NYC
Work schedule: Onsite 5 days
Job Description:
- Provide direct frontoffice technology support to Equities traders, middle office users, and Compliance teams on the trading floor
- Monitor trading platforms and FIX network connectivity to ensure system stability and availability
- Diagnose and resolve realtime trading issues, including detailed investigation of compliancerelated inquiries
- Communicate major incidents, impacts, and resolution status clearly to key stakeholders and senior management
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from traders, ensuring proper tracking, prioritization, and transparency
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for vendor and internal development teams to deliver enhancements
- Share endtoend business workflows with Support and QA teams to strengthen regression testing and operational readiness
- Maintain and continuously improve the knowledge base, support runbooks, scripts, and technical documentation
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience supporting missioncritical frontoffice trading applications within Equities, including U.S. Market Making, ETFs, Electronic Trading, Global Program Trading, and Convertible Bonds
- Strong understanding of hightouch trading workflows, FIX protocol, OMS platforms, IOI processing, market data, and CTM flows, Tidal or other scheduler systems
- Proven experience handling regulatory and compliancedriven requests and inquiries, including Reg NMS, Reg SHO, CAT, ACT, ORF, and TRACE
- Proficient with, SQL querying, JIRA for issue tracking, and Excel for operational analysis and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across front office, middle office, and control functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical issues to nontechnical stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Selfmotivated and adaptable, with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fastpaced, highpressure trading environment
- Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus
