In this hands-on role, you will build, restore, repair, and maintain a variety of vessels while assisting with shop operations and collaborating closely with a skilled team of professionals.
As a Custom Fiberglass Boat Builder, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional workmanship, ensuring every vessel meets the highest standards of safety, durability, and performance. Salary: Up to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience

Essential Job Functions:
· Utilize hand tools, power equipment and fabrication techniques to assemble exceptionally crafted marine vessels, and construct structural components including bulkheads, transoms, and stringers.
· Build stringers, transoms, floors, and bulkheads, and fabricate custom fiberglass components, then fit these parts and laminate them using the correct structural fiberglass and resin, preparing them for topcoat paint. This includes fairing and priming the components in preparation for final finish work.
· Perform intricate custom fiberglass tasks.
· Perform mechanical systems repair including water transportation equipment maintenance, and ship electrical systems maintenance.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
· Demonstrated expertise in customer fiberglass construction and repair, as well as gelcoat and paint touch-ups with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship.
· Background in marine mechanics or military is highly desirable.
· Proficient and safety-conscious in the use of hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
· Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and interact professionally with clients.
· Understand the use of Awl Grip products.
· Carpentry skills.
