Quality Life Services Butler is looking for a detail-oriented and service-driven Helpdesk Technician with strong skills in networking and cybersecurity to support our long-term healthcare facilities. You’ll be the first line of IT support for clinical and administrative teams, helping to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant technology operations across multiple care sites.
Job Responsibilities:
- Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for Windows devices, mobile devices, printers, and clinical systems.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, VoIP).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access through Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring network hardware such as switches, firewalls, and access points.
- Support cybersecurity efforts including endpoint protection, patching, MFA, and threat detection tools.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA security standards and data privacy regulations.
- Document IT support activities, system changes, and incident responses.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on hardware, software, and system upgrades.
- Provide basic training to staff on IT security and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in IT, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory.
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts and tools.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to handle sensitive healthcare data with discretion.
Preferred:

- Experience in healthcare or long-term care settings.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Security , or CCNA.
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., PointClickCare, MatrixCare).
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshservice, ServiceNow).
- Knowledge of HIPAA security rules and healthcare compliance standards
