Qualicare Home Care is a locally owned and operated home care agency serving New Braunfels and the surrounding communities. We help older adults and individuals with disabilities remain safe and independent in their homes through compassionate, reliable care.

We are looking for a Scheduler who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well under pressure, and genuinely cares about supporting both clients and caregivers.

This Is NOT a Typical Desk Job

If you prefer a predictable day where tasks can wait until tomorrow, this position is probably not a good fit.

Our Scheduler is often the first person responding when a caregiver calls off, a client needs immediate assistance, or a scheduling conflict arises. The right candidate is calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and willing to do what it takes to ensure our clients receive the care they need.

This position is best suited for someone who has previously worked as a caregiver and is looking to grow into an office-based leadership and coordination role while continuing to support clients and caregivers behind the scenes.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate caregiver assignments
• Fill open shifts and respond to call-offs
• Communicate with clients, families, and caregivers
• Manage schedule changes and staffing needs
• Conduct routine client and caregiver follow-up
• Assist with onboarding and orientation activities
• Document communications accurately
• Participate in the on-call rotation
• Support office operations and administrative tasks as needed

On-Call Expectations

This position participates in an on-call rotation.

• Weekday on-call hours: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Weekend on-call coverage: 24-hour shifts
• Additional compensation provided for on-call responsibilities

The ideal candidate understands that client care happens 24/7 and is willing to assist when urgent situations arise.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience required (home care, assisted living, skilled nursing, hospice, rehabilitation, or related healthcare setting)
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Comfortable making decisions independently
• Professional phone etiquette
• Proficient with computers and technology
• Experience in healthcare scheduling, home care, staffing, customer service, or office administration preferred

Pay: $16.00 per hour
